A New Life for Old Treasures
Turning Vintage Finds into Vital Support
Our charity started with cookies, from The Cookie Duchess in Schomberg. Then one day, we received two vintage red and gold lamps. A woman ran into the store with them, one at a time, saying “I don’t care what you do with them, but I need them to be gone and I’m not throwing them away!” As I was polishing them up an idea hit me, that we would raffle them off to raise money for our charities. It didn’t work, nobody bought raffle tickets! So, we just put a price on them and then they sold, and were shipped to the U.K., and that’s how our donations for charity program works.
When we have space, we accept select pieces and sell them—with 100% of the proceeds donated to three incredible organizations: Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Sick Kids Hospital, and Holland Bloorview Rehabilitation Hospital. Since June 1, 2017, we’ve proudly donated $64,850.47 to these life-changing institutions. Thank you for helping make it possible!
